About MettaGallery

MettaGallery is a new way to build an international following for your artists. The site was conceived to provide galleries, arts organizations, and artists an online space to display their work, without having to build it themselves. Having an online art show allows you to reach an international audience, not just the people who walk through your doors.

MettaGallery is the brainchild of Jennifer Moss, a seasoned web developer, artist, and co-founder of Visions of Self, a juried art show for female artists. Developed in 2020 during the Covid lockdown, a local California arts organization wanted a way to continue exhibitions without meeting in person. In the past five years, MettaGallery has since partnered with many Arts Organizations and Galleries as well as hosting our own annual themed art shows.

Check our ongoing Calls for Entry, as participating in any of the MettaGallery shows increases name recognition and search engine ranking.

Why CREATE an online show?

Online exhibitions offer a powerful way to increase visibility for your organization and the artists you represent. By hosting your show on our platform, you extend the life and reach of your exhibitions far beyond the walls of a physical gallery. Each show is carefully designed to enhance your organization’s online presence and elevate the visibility of your artists to a global audience.

MettaGallery is built with robust SEO (search engine optimization), which means your exhibitions and artist names have a greater chance of ranking highly in search results. Whether someone is searching for a specific artist, your organization, or a broader theme, your show can be discovered by collectors, curators, and art lovers around the world.

Every MettaGallery show is promoted across social media channels, newsletter networks, and digital art communities, giving your organization ongoing exposure throughout the run of the show and beyond. Unlike traditional exhibitions that end after a few weeks, our online shows remain live for up to a year, providing a long-lasting resource that continues to drive traffic and awareness.

MettaGallery Show INFORMATION

In addition to hosting shows for galleries and arts organizations, MettaGallery produces several juried art competitions throughout the year, giving artists the ability to showcase their work to a global audience. Each show features cash awards and recognition for the ribbon winners on social media.

Below are the terms and guidelines for each of the MettaGallery shows. If you have any questions about submission or the operations of our self-hosted shows, contact us at shows@mettagallery.com.

Qualifications: Art must be created by the entrant, made by the artist’s own hand (see Use of AI, below). Age of piece is not a factor, but it cannot have been exhibited in any previous shows hosted on MettaGallery.com. Disqualified and/or rejected pieces are not eligible for refund.

Awards: Cash awards are sent via PayPal, Venmo, or mailed check. No other payment options are available at this time.

Refunds: Refunds are only granted in the event that a show is canceled or postponed. Entries that have been declined, disqualified, or retracted are not eligible for refund.

Judging: We will post the judge’s name(s) for each show, unless they wish to remain anonymous. If you are a seasoned artist and interested in judging a MettaGallery show, contact us at shows@mettagallery.com. Judges are not compensated.

Use of AI: Digital art is welcome, but it must be primarily the result of human creativity and hand. We retain the right to disqualify all works that are suspected to be generated by AI without significant human authorship. We will review social media postings and contact the artist, if necessary, to aid in our decision. If you’re unsure whether your piece qualifies, feel free to email us for clarification.
