About the Artist
I’m a California native who relocated from Orange County to the Sierra Foothills. My family has been coming to Bass Lake for our family reunion for over 75 years. During a visit, I discovered Yosemite Western Artists and Sierra Art Trails and fell in love with the community. As a brand strategist and graphic designer by trade, I’m able to work remotely anywhere and in 2013 my husband and I went ahead and made the leap.
As an art major I painted often but prior to moving, took an almost 20-year hiatus. I began classes with Jerome Grimmer and have been passionate about painting ever since. My medium is acrylics on canvas using a combination of both brush and palette knife. I’ve created a series called “Serenity Scapes” that evoke a dreamlike quality. Life is sometimes hectic and I paint as an “escape” and want to create that feeling for others. My hope is to give people a sense of peace, tranquility, and some time to reflect.
I’m the current president of Yosemite Sierra Artists and encourage all interested to participate, no matter your skill level.
