Vision Statement

This painting was created during the 2020 lockdown after I had to stop halfway through my dive-master. It's how I stayed in the ocean as I grieved the lifestyle I'd lost due to the global situation. It's titled "The Ocean's Keeper" as I often use my work to communicate about the crisis of the state of the ocean. From above, it looks unchanged. But when you go below the surface and return year after year to the same locations, the damage is undeniable. Since it cannot speak for itself, I do my best to use my work to speak in it's place... I suppose kind of how the Lorax speaks for the trees. It is the only self-portrait I've created and my favorite piece.
