Vision Statement

I have worked for several years in collage and two-dimensional mixed media. This is my first assemblage piece.
I chose weathered wood to create the shrine, as that which appears to be old - and perhaps dead to its original purpose - can house the sacred.
The background is a paper collage from my journal. The butterflies, handmade pine needle basket and string of freshwater pearls each represent for me women who have nurtured, inspired, supported or walked beside me on my journey.
