Vision Statement

During 2020, I felt this strong desire to surround myself with nature and plants inside my home. It seemed like this was an impulse that many people had. Especially those of us that live in urban settings. I started this piece as a self portrait surrounded by my actual plants, but I soon found myself painting my friend Grace as a place holder for myself. She is an artist that uses flowers to spread joy and this image of her felt perfect nestled among my plants.
