About the Artist

Artists have often played a key role in social movements, addressing issues ranging from immigration to racism to sexism to gun violence. Through their expressive talents, artists can challenge cultural narratives, shift imagery, and inspire emotions in a way that traditional political methods alone rarely do.

The work for Art Trails 2021 is part of a body of work labeled “Transitions.” From “Democracy in Prison” to “The Green Man” to “The Plague Doctor,” these images catch a moment in time in between events.
