About the Artist

I started painting portraits and still life’s in charcoal and oil in the traditional style, studying under James Prohl for eight years, and switched to working with watercolor in 2014. Paintings must breathe and evoke the feel of the place.  Plein air painting is impressionistic, fresh, and incorporates light. My photography grew out of my love of plein air painting.
