Artist Statement:
I am a Central Valley, California printmaker who for the past 3.5 years has worked almost exclusively in the medium of woodblock printmaking. The primary foci of my works are twofold. First, I strive to address social/political issues within our society with hopes of raising awareness of those issues or inequities so that people are more prepared to take action. Secondly, I create animal conservation-oriented works with the goal of raising public awareness regarding the threats to animals that are currently under extreme strain. The nature of these works is to raise awareness of the threats to animals that are currently under extreme strain so as to bridge the awareness gap in the public.
